PC Spirometer ProSpiro N

The ProSpiro N enables essential pulmonary function tests to be performed. Requiring no external power supply, the device can easily be used on the go with a laptop.

The database is integrated into our DDC (Digital Diagnostic Center) software, allowing all key examinations to be viewed at a glance.

Measurement Modes

Forced Expiration and Inspiration

The patient performs a maximal inhalation, followed by a maximal exhalation at maximum effort and speed.

In this operating mode, the device determines the following parameters:

The total volume of air exhaled with maximum effort after full inhalation.

The volume of air inhaled with maximum effort after complete exhalation.

The volume of air exhaled during the first second of forced expiration.

Ratio of FEV1 to Forced Vital Capacity

The volume of air exhaled during the first 6 seconds of forced expiration.

The maximum flow rate achieved during forced expiration.

Expiratory flow rate at 25% of FVC

Expiratory flow rate at 50% of FVC.

Expiratory flow rate at 75% of FVC.

Mean flow rate calculated over the middle 25–50% portion of forced expiration.

Mean flow rate calculated over the middle half (25–75%) of forced expiration.

Total duration of forced expiration.

Volume of air inhaled during the first second of forced inspiration.

Maximum flow rate achieved during forced inspiration.

Inspiratory flow rate at 25% of inspiratory volume.

Inspiratory flow rate at 50% of inspiratory volume.

Inspiratory flow rate at 75% of inspiratory volume.

Static Vital Capacity

The patient performs a maximal exhalation, followed by a slow, continuous, and maximal inhalation.

In this operating mode, the device determines the following parameters:

The maximum volume of air exhaled after maximal inhalation.

The volume of air inhaled from maximum exhalation to full inhalation.

The maximum volume of air that can be inhaled after normal resting exhalation.

The maximum volume of additional air that can be exhaled after normal resting exhalation.

Average volume of air inspired and expired during resting breathing.

Average duration of resting inspiration.

Average duration of resting expiration.

The total volume of air inhaled and exhaled per minute at rest.

Number of breaths per minute.

Mean resting inspiratory flow rate.

Ratio of expiratory time to inspiratory time.

Maximum Voluntary Ventilation (MVV)

The patient inhales and exhales maximally and continuously over a set period.

In this operating mode, the system determines the following parameters:

Total volume of air exhaled during maximal voluntary breathing, extrapolated to one minute.

A PCS-3000 calibration syringe (3,000 ml) is recommended for daily calibration.
