General Information
CARDIAX® PC ECG
This report describes the development of CARDIAX® PC ECG from its market introduction in 1990 to the current version. CARDIAX®, the PC ECG through the ages.
The CARDIAX® ECG device is a PC ECG system. Featuring modern microelectronics combined with validated cardiology software, CARDIAX PC ECG is the ideal foundation for a high-quality CARDIAX 12-channel ECG workstation with stress ECG and optional pulse oximetry (SpO2 measurement). It consistently meets the demands of PC technology. The CARDIAX PC ECG USB connection for data transmission and power supply, or the wireless connection of the battery-operated WiFi version, additionally enable mobile ECG application…

Oximetry in Aviation
Fundamentals, aspects and recommendations for use of Pulse Oximetry in Aviation
Hypoxia is could be one of the more insidious hazards of flight. Pilots are learning in primary flight training that the higher they are flying, the less oxygen is available in the atmosphere. Additionally it is a fact that one of the effects of hypoxia is a feeling of being well. Measuring blood oxygenation level is critical to flagging hypoxia before it is too late. In non-pressurized aircrafts, the pilot will know to either use supplemental oxygen or descend to a safer altitude. In airplanes with a pressurized cabin, the pilot will be alerted to possible failures of the pressurization system…

QT Interval Abstract
Abstract on QT interval, QTc interval calculation, general principles, and psychotropic drug-associated QTc interval prolongation
The determination of the QT interval is particularly difficult if the amplitude of the T-wave is low and therefore the end of the T-wave is difficult to define.
The intervals should be measured manually from a 12-lead ECG (usually from limb lead II) and then the mean value from three to five beats is to be calculated. Since the repolarization period shortens with increasing heart rate, a frequency correction of the QT interval should be done…
