The ME PAD defibrillators are Automated External Defibrillators (AED). In these devices, software analyzes the heart rhythm and determines whether defibrillation is necessary. Defibrillation is only enabled if the result is positive and can then be triggered automatically (ME PAD auto) or semi-automatically (ME PAD semi) by the user. As an AED, the ME PAD is suitable for use by doctors and in hospitals. The ME PAD can also be used as a public access defibrillator (PAD) in companies, public institutions, associations, government agencies, on ships, and in aircraft.
